Social Justice for the Right

On Wednesday, November 16, 2005, AFF host the roundtable, "Social Justice for the Right." After Katrina, what are the different conservative and libertarain visions for how to improve social welfare? Is a compassionate conservative welfare state any better than a liberal welfare state? Can a libertarian vision withstand the politics of humanitarian disasters? Panelists were Veronique de Rugy of AEI, Ross Douthat of the Atlantic Monthly, Randy Brandt from the Senate Republican Conference, and Phillips Foundation Fellow Judie Person. Katherine Mangu-Ward of The New York Times moderated.
