We attended the opening reception of the Postsecret Show, a gallery installation based on the now-famous community art project in which people send in homemade postcards with a secret and they are posted on a blog (http://postsecret.blogspot.com). The Washington Post called it one of the five best Washington D.C. exhibits of 2005.
We had about 25 people come with AFF. Most didnÃÂââ?ìâ?ât know about the blog, so they were surprised by the content, but intrigued. Frank Warren, who founded and runs the project, was there signing books.
Our group adjorned to the Rhino Bar and Pumphouse down the street from the gallery for food and drinks, and we discussed our favorite postcards.
