The Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) seeks two research analysts with experience in energy and environmental issues.

Position responsibilities. Research analysts will join four senior members of the Energy and Global Warming team. They will assist with a wide variety of research and writing on the costs and consequences of proposed energy and environmental legislation and regulations. They will assist in communicating the policy implications of proposed legislation and regulations to a wide variety of audiences, including policy makers, media, and opinion leaders. Qualified candidates will also work to advance the overall success of CEI by assisting with a wide variety of projects and tasks.

Qualifications. Successful applicants should have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in science, economics, or other liberal arts. Two to three years of public policy analysis experience, especially in energy and environmental issues, on Capitol Hill or for non-profit or for-profit organizations is preferred, but not required. Candidates must demonstrate experience and ability in analyzing and writing about regulatory policies, familiarity with the U.S. regulatory and legislative processes, and a strong commitment to free markets and limited government.
