Research Assistant

The American Enterprise Institute, a leading public policy reasearch organization, seeks a full-time research assistant to work with a conservative senior fellow in AEI’s economics department.

The research assistant’s responsibilities will include policy research; writing and editing policy statements and op-eds; planning and organizing seminars, conferences and meetings; and administrative duties as required. Research topics will cover a wide range of policy issues related to healthcare, national defense, foreign policy, American politics, technology, and the environment. The research assistant must also stay generally informed of government and corporate activity.

This position requires excellent interpersonal, communication, and research skills, as well as a genuine interest in learning and the ability to multitask. Qualified candidates will have a BA in economics, public policy, political science, or a related field. The ideal candidate will be a creative, entrepreneurial thinker with a long-term vision but will also be sensitive to short-term deadlines.
