Executive Director

Bureaucrash, a project of the Competitive Enterprise Institute, is seeking a new Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible for leading the Bureaucrash Activist Network and reports to the Vice President for Policy.

Duties Include:


Strategic

• Builds relationships with other organizations to foster cooperation
• Stays up to date on current events to look for ways to spread libertarianism
• Develops ways to market the ideas of freedom
• Attend in-house meetings as a representative of Bureaucrash
• Collaborates with CEI policy experts to promote initiatives relevant
to the Bureaucrash audience


Development

• Writes notes attached to the CEI Planet for development to mail to donors
• Communicates with donors about the latest Bureaucrash activities
• Keeps the development team up to date on current activities
• Attend relevant donor meetings
• Answers questions from Al Rosenberg and the board of advisers


Administrative

• Manages Bureaucrash's budget
• Submits an annual budget to CEI
• Completes monthly American Express accounting
• Writes annual reports for the CEI board of directors and Bureaucrash
board of advisers
• Performs any other duties as needed


Media

• Edits member content posted to Bureaucrash.com
• Works with the video production manager in the completion of
Bureaucrash branded videos
• Works with the communications team to promote Bureaucrash activities in media
• Writes Blog posts and creates other content for Bureaucrash.com
• Writes op-eds
• Coordinates website upgrades and new initiatives with outside vendors
• Writes/oversees Bureaucrash page in CEI Planet


Marketing / Merchandising

• Supervises a staffer who manages the Bureaucrash merchandise
operation (Contraband)
• Conceptualizes and designs graphics for viral marketing initiatives
• Oversees budget and approves new purchases


Operations

• Conceptualizes real-world activist projects
• Leads activists in various initiatives
• Travels to activists to mentor and document activist projects


Network

• Recruits and motivates activists
• Responds to communication from crashers and allies
• Attends events that targets our demographic areas
• Speaks publicly on behalf Bureaucrash
