Identify and recruit major philanthropic partners who will advance a Science of Liberty and work with these partners to build the capabilities of the institutions that advance a free society.
High degree of strategic management, prioritization, and solicitation of high level donors
Meet with donors and prospects to cultivate major gifts
*Oversee logistics and communications for two major annual seminars on philanthropy as well as occasional smaller events
Assist with implementing a regular, year-round communication strategy with our network of participants
Work with non-profits to improve face-to-face solicitation techniques and strategies
Assist non-profits in building a fully functioning planned giving program, which includes laying out a marketing and sales strategy in this area
Assist and/or lead other development/fundraising projects as they occur
Requirements:
Past experience with major event planning and/or fundraising, such as with a political campaign, company, or non-profit organization
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Computer proficiency, including MS Office (particularly Excel), Outlook, Internet researching tools, and some database experience
Solid understanding of and commitment to classical liberal ideals, market principles, and the advancement of liberty
Demonstrated evidence of leadership ability or entrepreneurial behavior
Humility, integrity, passion, motivation, and a self-starter attitude
High degree of discretion and confidentiality
Ability to prioritize; excellent organizational skills
Experience Preferred:
Advanced skills in strategic planning and coordination
Education Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree
