The Mercatus Center at George Mason University seeks to hire a Program Associate for the Social Change Project and Global Prosperity Initiative. Initial job responsibilities will include assisting with and coordinating the planning of academic conferences, meetings, policy forums, and other special events; writing and editing for the project web pages, research, and administrative support.
The successful candidate will be interested in working on a fast-paced, growing project and the ultimate responsibilities of the position will depend on the initiative and creativity of the candidate. Interest and experience in economics, political theory, and international development is desirable and a minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in applying complex ideas to solve policy problems and advancing the state of knowledge in the area of social change and international development as well as strong research, writing, and organizational skills.
Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with experience.
