Are you a watchdog reporter whose editor keeps you on too tight a leash? If you are an experienced journalist who loves open records and uncovering government waste and wrongdoing, you owe it to yourself to take a look at us.
We are an award-winning, libertarian-leaning news website devoted to watchdogging state and local government. We publish online and syndicate a short-form radio program heard on AM and FM stations. Our stories regularly drive coverage in the major dailies, TV and radio. Denver's alt weekly, the Westword, named FaceTheState.com the city's best political website for 2008. We love to scoop newspapers and break solid political stories.
You'll join our growing staff in a young and creative newsroom. You should be articulate both in person and in print and be comfortable discussing your findings with other members of the media.
Position is FT in Denver, Colorado with some travel and field reporting, primarily in the haunts of state and local government and the courts. Solid photography skills a plus.
Pay very competitive, DOE.
