The Cato Institute seeks a direct marketing professional to manage and execute donor communication programs including direct mail, Institute’s annual report, quarterly and monthly donor newsletters, and donor correspondence. The candidate will be responsible for managing relationships with inside and outside providers including creative design, writing and editing, publications, MIS, list brokerage, printing, letter shop, list management and data analysis. Prospective candidates should have a thorough understanding of direct mail fundraising programs and publication production. Position demands excellent project management skills including logistics, budgeting and schedule adherence as well as leadership, both strategic and operational. In addition the position requires strong oral and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals and teams. Three to five years related experience highly preferred. The successful candidate will share a commitment to the values that inspire the Institute’s mission.
