JOB SUMMARY:
The Coordinator of Membership Programs is responsible for meeting budgeted contributions income each year, and doing so in a way that builds the type of relationships with donors so that income will increase in the future. These goals are achieved by managing the daily operations of the housefile, prospecting and President’s Club programs, as well as overseeing all customer service systems. The Coordinator works closely with the Manager of Membership Programs and is responsible for relationships with a number of outside vendors and consultants.
JOB DUTIES:
• Direct Mail – Manages the daily operations of the housefile, prospecting and President’s Club programs; works with outside agencies to develop, review and approve copy, art, and data selection.
• Customer Service – Oversees all customer service systems, including membership line, comment mail, and President’s Club thank you letters; creates tracking systems; serves as main contact point for caging company; trains new staff and interns on phone etiquette, systems and tracking.
• President’s Club Representative Program –Serves as the main contact for the PC Reps, ensuring they are kept up to date on Heritage’s activities and impact, and are able to articulate this information to donors. Manages the transfer of data between the PC Rep Program and Heritage. Reviews call reports weekly and ensures proper follow-up actions are taken as necessary.
• Electronic Funds Transfer Monthly Giving Program – Oversees the daily operations of EFT program; manages multi-channel EFT marketing campaign.
• Supervises Membership Assistant on day-to-day tasks including processing income and thanking President’s Club donors.
SKILL FACTORS:
Education: BA/BS
Experience: 2-3 years of direct marketing experience
Computers: Microsoft Office and Outlook
Communication: Ability to communicate with Heritage Members both over the phone and through the mail, and with individuals at all levels within and outside of Heritage.
Special Skills/Requirements:
• Understand and support the Heritage mission and vision for America, and the department’s goals and objectives.
• Strong detail-oriented production skills, including the ability to proof accurately.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively with outside consultants.
• Ability to solve problems, work under pressure, think creatively, and act independently.
