AFF DC Monthly Happy Hour: A Toast to AFF
AFF will hold its monthly happy hour on Thursday, January 24, at 6:00 pm at Café Asia (the front bar, just to the left of the entrance). In an effort to reach out to our friends across the river, this will be AFF's first happy hour in Northern Virginia! The address 1550 Wilson Blvd., Arlington, VA a few blocks from the Rossyln metro station on the Orange and Blue lines. As always, there is no cover and there are happy hour specials on beer ($2 drafts), saki, and even sushi! Just look for AFF members wearing little orange AFF lapel pins.
We'll be toasting to the brilliant successes of AFF in the past, as well as looking forward to a fab 2008. Stay tune for some very special guest! We look forward to seeing you there!
Love & Marriage: AFF DC February Roundtable
AFF will hold its monthly roundtable on Tuesday, February 12th. In the spirit of Valentines Day, we will consider the question of marriage. Is it outdated? Or, should we care about preserving the institution now more than ever?
Joining us will be writer and blogger James Polous, and Jonathan Rauch, author of Gay Marriage: Why It Is Good for Gays, Good for Straights, and Good for America. Stay tuned for more panelist!
The event will take place at the Fund for American Studies, 1706 New Hampshire Avenue, NW, near Dupont Circle. Drinks at 6:30; Roundtable begins at 7:00. Roundtables are free for members, $5 for non-members. So join today! Please RSVP to Cindy Cerquitella at cindy@americasfuture.org.
