AFF DC February Happy Hour
AFF will hold its monthly happy hour on Thursday, February 28th at 6:00 pm! This happy hour AFF will have special guest from the blogosphere, so make sure to mark your calendar.  As always, there is no cover and there are specials on wine and selected beers. Just look for AFF members wearing little orange AFF lapel pins. Location to be announced in next week's edition.

Leadership dinner next Month!
On Wednesday, March 12, AFF will present the next installment of its Leadership Dinner Series, featuring journalist Robert Novak, author of Prince of Darkness, a memoir of his life as a political journalist and pundit in Washington, D.C. Please join us as Mr. Novak shares valuable advice on how to make a career out of writing, imparts his ideals, and discloses inestimable guidance on how to make the greatest impact as a public speaker.

Leadership Dinners are reserved for partner, director, and executive level members. If you are unsure of your membership status, please check with membership directors Sharon Yecies or Robby Schrum. You must RSVP for this event before March 3. Please send your response to Cindy@americasfuture.org.

The event, held at the Arts Club at 2017 Eye St., NW, will begin with a brief reception at 6:30 p.m.; dinner will follow at 7:00. The nearest Metro stop is Farragut West on the orange and blue lines.

Wanted: Boys and Girls-About-Town
AFF's social and cultural events blog Washington Planner is currently seeking a few new contributors!   If you're involved in AFF and its related conservative/libertarian circles as well as other components of the greater Washington community, you could be just what we're looking for.  Contributors should be people who are up-to-date on social and cultural events around town and should be able to write concise, witty posts highlighting event details.   Post should be roughly 100-250 words in length.  Bonus points for posts about events that Kristen hasn't heard of yet...we're looking to broaden the scope of events posted about, so mavens with a wide range of interests are encouraged to apply!
