Coming Soon: Doublethink Online
A note from Peter Suderman, Editor, Doublethink Online:
Many of you have asked, "What's the deal with Brainwash?" There hasn't been much activity these last few months.  Well, we're pleased to announce that in a few short weeks, Brainwash will be relaunched as Doublethink Online.

As with Brainwash, you'll find regular articles from the best and brightest young writers on the right.  But in the new Doublethink Online, you'll find more content, a small but sharp stable of bloggers and columnists, greater integration with AFF's other web features, Washington Planner and Inside Washington Weekly, as well as with our quarterly parent print publication, Doublethink, and lots more.

It all starts soon, so keep checking back, as more announcements are on their way. We think you'll agree that it will be worth the wait. Thanks for your patience!

Leadership dinner SOLD OUT!
On Wednesday, March 12, AFF will present the next installment of its Leadership Dinner Series, featuring journalist Robert Novak, author of Prince of Darkness, a memoir of his life as a political journalist and pundit in Washington, D.C.  Mr. Novak will share valuable advice on how to make a career out of writing, imparts his ideals, and discloses inestimable guidance on how to make the greatest impact as a public speaker.

NOTE: Registration for this event is now closed, if you have any questions please e-mail cindy@americasfuture.org.

AFF DC March Roundtable: The Economy in Crisis?
AFF will hold its monthly roundtable "The Economy in Crisis?" on March 18.  While national security issues may seem to dominate the national debate, the state of the economy might be the determining issue for this year's elections.  The widespread view that we are in a recession led to an economic stimulus bill few free-market advocates supported.  Is extra stimulus needed to avoid the potentially imminent recession?  When it comes to promoting economic growth, the primary conservative solution is to cut taxes.  What other free-market policy solutions are there to bring prosperity to the country?

The event will take place at the Fund for American Studies, 1706 New Hampshire Avenue, NW, near Dupont Circle. Drinks at 6:30; Roundtable begins at 7:00. Roundtables are free for members, $5 for non-members. So join today! Please RSVP to Cindy Cerquitella at cindy@americasfuture.org.

NOTE: The Roundtable previously seen in Room 101 for March "Energy Policy, What Should Our Carbon Footprint Be?" will be held April 15.

AFF Denver: How the West will Be Lost
On Wednesday, March 26, 2008, AFF goes to Denver for its next installment of AFF on the Road! It's no mistake that Democrats will be hosting their national convention in Denver. Liberal funders have invested heavily in Colorado as part of a multi-cycle strategy to turn traditionally red states in the mountain west blue. But have Republicans and the Religious Right put more libertarian-leaning mountain states up for grabs? Looking at the primaries, does Huckabee's success indicate the growing or waning influence of evangelicals in the Republican Party? Does Ron Paul's fundraising success indicating a growing influence of libertarians? And what to make of McCain? Join our panelists as we discuss the future of libertarians, conservatives, and evangelicals in the West.

Featuring Jon Caldara, president, Independence Institute; Jim Pfaff, president, Colorado Family Council Ryan Sager, author, Elephant in the Room: Evangelicals, Libertarians and the Battle to Control the Republican Party; Gene Healy, senior editor at the Cato Institute and author, Cult of the Presidency: America's Dangerous Devotion to Executive Power ; moderated by Brad Jones of Facethestate.com.

This event will be held at the Oxford Theater at the Oxford Hotel, 1600 17th St, Denver, CO 80202. Complementary drinks and appetizers from 6:00-7:00p.m; discussion from 7:00 to 8:30. Valet parking available. Please RSVP to rsvp@americasfuture.org.
