Whether you’re on the list at every exclusive watering hole in Georgetown or merely got a cheap thrill out of Wonkette’s old “Last Week’s Shots” column, you probably know what The Madison is. The organization of 100 young Washington women has chosen the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure as their philanthropic cause this year, and in excited anticipation of the walk this coming weekend, the Madison ladies are hosting a party called “Madison in Madras” at The Rookery in Foggy Bottom. (Rookery is located near 25th and Pennsylvania. Follow the scent of the tasty Subway bread being baked next door.)
The party goes from 10 pm until 1 am on Thursday, June 5th. The festivities will cost you $5 at the door as a contribution to the cause, but will bring in return either a long-awaited chance to deck yourself out in your preppiest gear (Anna Pope, I’m looking at you on this one) or a solid evening of people watching, depending on your affinity for the Georgetown social scene. Either way, you can bet on the party being a festive one!
